Haven House Shelter is a short-term homeless shelter for residents of Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson Counties

• Haven House opened its doors in November 2006.

• Its mission is to provide a safe, encouraging atmosphere, food, lodging, and guidance for local residents facing homelessness. 

• This mission is accomplished by working to remove the emotional burden and uncertainty of homelessness through guidance and appropriate referrals.  The goal is to help guests become empowered to overcome the problems which brought them to Haven House and to regain their independence and self-respect.

• Haven House is located in DuBois PA within walking distance of employment services, and on a bus route. 

• Haven House has 24/7 staffing. 

• Haven House is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation organized and governed by a board of dedicated local citizens.
